On July 17, 2009, 6 girls and 2 boys were born in a litter mothered by Twig and fathered by Bridger and Orion. AJ gave up his naming rights of all things including dogs a long time ago, so Rebecca gave much thought as to the theme to name this litter. The answer was found in the question of, “what am I going to name all these little women?”
We have Meg, Josephine, Betsy (Beth) and Amy, and one of the boys is named Fritz---all main characters of the novel, Little Women. Louisa May the author is the namesake of one of the pups. Since we were on a literary theme we threw in Charlotte (after Bronte), and Charlie (after Dickens).
